This weapon is granted as a reward for completing the The 2d Dream quest with a costless weapon slot and a pre-installed Orokin Catalyst.

Additional copies can be built afterward; the design drops from the Shadow Stalker, while its Hilt and Blades drib from Conculysts, Ortholysts, Summulysts, and Aerolysts. The Hilt and Blades tin can also be bought from Cephalon Simaris for 50,000 Continuing  fifty,000 . All components, except for the blueprint, tin can be traded betwixt players.

• The Broken State of war is a piece of the larger State of war greatsword, which was split in two following the climax of The Second Dream quest, with the smaller piece torn and re-purposed as a ane-handed sword.
• If the energy color is left uncustomized, the lights along the blade correspond to the elemental damage nowadays on the weapon.
  • The greater State of war's lights plow red with no elemental damage, similar to when the Shadow Stalker attacks the Tenno, while the Broken War stays blue as in its icon.
• Prior to Hotfix 18.half-dozen.3 (2016-03-23), Cleaved State of war required War to arts and crafts and vice versa, making them the simply ii weapons to accept recursive build requirements.
